Howdy, y'all!
These are printable Ephesians 1-6 Greek fill-in-the-blanks worksheets to help you prep effectively for the 2025 NBBC MCT. Here's what you need to know to use them:
- Blanks have been inserted in the place of every important English word or phrase that translates a Greek word. Exceptions: Most conjunctions, prepositions, pronouns, and articles; the names God, Jesus, Christ, Paul, Ephesus, and Israel.
- The text is taken from the New King James Version.
- Some words or phrases may not seem to make sense in the English because of unique Greek word order or formation. For instance, the Greek word cheiropoietos in Ephesians 2:11 is translated in English as "made...by hands." However, the word Circumcision appears in the English between made and by hands. In this instance there are two blanks, one for made and one for by hands. Cheiropoietos should be filled in each of those two blanks. Other similar examples are found throughout the Ephesians 1-6 Greek text. Referring the BlueLetterBible's Inline Interlinear (see below) should clear up any difficulties.
- For answers or reference, see BlueLetterBible's Inline Interlinear, using the TR KJV Greek text. (I have found that the best way for me to fill out these worksheets is to print out the Inline Interlinear and refer to it.)
- When using BLB's Inline Interlinear in tandem with these worksheets, be sure to select English word order, showing the English and the Root Transliteration only.
- I will NOT be making fill-in-the-blanks for any other versions. If you do not use NKJV, feel free to make a copy of my document (below) and make your own. I find the CLOZEit extension to Google Docs extremely helpful for this. Simply underline each word you wish to blank and click "Create worksheet with word bank." I delete the word bank for these worksheets, but you can decide whether you want to keep it or not.
I hope these will be helpful in furthering your understanding of Ephesians this study season!
Yours with a smile and a cheer,
Hannah
